CBD Tinctures

What is a CBD tincture and why should I use it?

Many know the benefits of CBD, but some are unsure about using it as a tincture and how to do so. A tincture is a concentrated herbal extract made by soaking herbs in a liquid. After a few weeks, the liquid absorbs the herbal properties, and once the herbs are taken out, a potent tincture is left.

Hempward Farms' CBD Tinctures are crafted from family-grown hemp that is transformed into extract and blended with organic MCT oil derived from coconuts. On our labels, we refer to them as CBD Oils.

Why choose a tincture instead of a softgel?

The dosage can be easily adjusted. For example, if you need 15mg of CBD to enhance concentration and have a 750mg bottle of CBD Oil, you can take a little more than half a dropper. If you later experience soreness after a long hike, you can take a full dropper plus a bit extra to relieve the discomfort before sleeping.

Since tinctures are absorbed through the mucous membranes under the tongue, they enter the bloodstream very quickly, usually in about 20 minutes.

How do I take a Tincture?

Start by shaking the bottle well. Next, use the dropper to take the amount of CBD Oil you want. A "full" dropper usually holds about 2/3 of its total capacity, which is what you get with one squeeze of the bulb. Place the oil under your tongue and hold it there for at least 20 seconds before swallowing. This helps the oil absorb better. That's it!

You can mix tinctures into tea or smoothies, and apply CBD Oil directly to your skin on areas where you feel pain.
